My name is April Albrecht. I am a Feminist scholar, midwifery student, herbal enthusiast, wife, and mother to three. To cope with chaos, I analyze, contextualize, philosophize, and critique everything, including myself. The years I’ve spent as a stay at home mom, student of midwifery, crafter and artist, reader and self-educator, have fueled and partially contained my philosophical paroxysms. Finally, I’ve found a second home in academia where my need to ask questions, make inferences, and rigorously renegotiate my understanding of the world(s) around me is embraced rather than dismissed as volatility or fickleness. The one thing that I know with absolute certainty? There is always something new to learn.
